If anyone answers as there seems to be no-one around on here lately! What do you think of giving vitamins to your special needs child? I have never done this but since Glen has been ill for sometime I was wondering if he should be taking some kind of vitamins to help his immune system. Would love your thoughts on this, are they a good idea, or is it a waste of time?

Iv'e been giving vitamins and supplements for years Jeanne and yes they definitely do help, saying that we have had his bloods done to pinpoint any deficiencies and they were done privately as NHS were not comprehensive.
We also order from Kirkman via Nutri Centre online as their vits and mins are aimed at the autistic population and don't contain all the rubbish and fillers that a lot of the stuff available in the shops does.
My son doesn't tolerate all things and for instance we cannot supplement Vit C as he rages when he is on it but make sure he gets it through a good dietary source. Our children are no less likely to need a good vitamin than any other child so well worth looking into imo.
